Explanation | Hares and flying squirrels are the most abundant species, accounting for about three-fourths of the total. Weasels, foxes, squirrels, and raccoons have also been found. Bones of deer and wild boar, which are often found at Jomon-era sites around Japan, have not been found very often. |
