Explanation | This is the largest clay figurine at the Sannai Maruyama Site. The entire body is a flat plate, cross-shaped. In addition to the face, chest and belly button, the head is decorated with hair-like accessors and the ears are decorated with what appear to be ear accessories. There is also a hole penetrating from the mouth to the feet. The head and body were excavated 90 meters apart and joined together. |
